it is to the spirit what sleep is to the body, nourishment, and refreshment."

✮ What to Expect
It is rare opportunity for most to spend 2 days in silence, free of external pressure to perform, achieve and do. We invite you to experience a Silent Meditation Retreat facilitated by Adrian Kemp. With over 15 years of practice in Thailand, Japan and Australia, including 8 years as a Buddhist monk, Adrian shares varying insights and perspectives to help find your way as the world slows down.
In an intimate supportive environment, we will explore meditation without strict guidelines or a feeling of tightness. Such a safe space allows us to ease into the practice and familiarise ourselves with the here & now and with whatever unfolds whilst being immersed in the midst of Boranup Forest.
There is not much to do, this is the point. Eat, sleep, meditate, move and be in nature. Little more than simply being.

✮ Catering
Our creative plant-based chefs help you appreciate the joy of eating with mindfulness and presence. Where possible your 3 meals are sourced from the neighbouring regenerative Mindful Earth Farm, so that from seed to table you are nourished by what is cooked and grown with genuine love and care.

✮ Location & Hosts
This retreat is hosted at The Mindful Earth Farm - a regenerative farm in its infancy. We are taking old farm land and regenerating it, improving the soil, planting trees and creating community, acre by acre! Approximately 20 minutes south of Margaret River between Hamelin Bay and the Borranup forest. Book yourself in our luxury bell tents or if you prefer, set up your own camp and drink in the surrounding views.
For the comfy meditator we have our beautiful private bell tents available, each equipped with King-size Beds & comfortable mattresses. All you have to do is bring your own bedding and call it home.
Being secluded and immersed in nature allows us to take advantage of the types of surroundings used for thousands of years across traditions to support spiritual practice.

✮ Program
This retreat will cover a range of meditation approaches, that support each other in a progressive manner and give you a chance to see what works for you.
This Silent Meditation Retreat is equally suitable for the curious first timers as well as for those who meditate regularly and is an opportunity to look at depths of what the practice has to offer.
We ask participants to arrive by Monday evening, share some warm soup and settle in.
Tuesday morning to Wednesday lunchtime will be largely silent including letting go of smart phones but there is time to connect and ask questions at the beginning and end of the retreat. A good part of the time we’ll meditate as a group, sitting interspersed with other postures, movement and time to explore the forest. While it can be freeing, blissful or profound, half your day doing meditation can also be challenging especially when we are coming off near constant external stimulation where we don’t have many opportunities to watch and work with the internal dialogues and feelings that can pull us along. The range of possible experience is
broad.
Please let us reassure you that doing this is valuable and sometimes the difficult parts are the most worthwhile. You’ll be surrounded by good people in a warm and safe environment. You won’t be asked to sit for more than 30 minutes at a time and you can do so on a chair, cushion or even lie down. Participants will have time when they can talk to Adrian, the facilitator, in privacy and are encouraged to so and he is available at any time should something come up.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to send us a message and our friendly team will get back to you as soon as possible!

✮ Financial Contribution
We ask for two financial contributions:
1) One a payment, made online, to cover the retreat venue and operational costs.
2) A voluntary donation, made at the end of the retreat, depending on your feeling and your circumstances, to reflect the time put in by the facilitator, Adrian. This can be made at the end of the retreat.
.
As the group size and accommodation available is small, there are limited spaces. Bookings via our online shop are required. If you have any further questions or feedback please feel free to reach out to us! We look forward to connecting with you at the retreat!
